Cherry

Cherry has been a resident of Tracy for nearly 15 years. She grew up in Southern California until the late 1980’s when she left her family to pursue a new life in Sacramento. She relocated to Tracy in 1994 for a new career and found Tracy to be a wonderful place to raise her two young children.

Cherry began practicing yoga in early 2000 and developed a passion for the practice. Over the years, she enjoyed the benefits from practicing yoga on a regular basis and was introduced to teaching in a health fitness facility setting. Cherry’s practical experience and education through the YogaFit Training Systems has solidified her passion and commitment to yoga. She continues to enjoy sharing her love of yoga with others, as well as being a student herself in a yoga class.

Corey

Corey comes from an athletic background and loves working with others on their personal paths to creating and maintaining healthy lifestyles. She believe that a healthy lifestyle is a continuum of physical, intellectual, and nutritional choices that grow, change, and deepen with each experience. She is a fitness instructor/trainer- coming up on 10 years now, and loves every aspect of the industry. Corey began teaching yoga 8 years ago. At first she found that it complimented other physical activities in regards to strength and flexibility, but then she fell in love with yoga because of its benefits beyond the physical. Yoga balances the bouts of energy that we use in our busy lives and aerobic activities, which can be more competitive and external in nature. Corey's yoga classes will challenge participants physically while teaching them to use their energy with an internal focus on mind, body, and breath. It truly is a fitness experience that unites greater body awareness and mindfulness into our daily lives. At the same time, it provides us with an excellent full body work out based in strength and core initiated abdominal movements.
Her classes connect movement to breath with an emphasis on strength, balance, and body alignment through the use of imagery and cues. She begins each class with a flow of asanas, followed by strengthening poses, balance and stretch, and relaxation. The techniques you will learn are meant to be practical and will easily transfer into your active lifestyle. You will find that you have a better range of motion and flexibility, increased balance, excellent posture, and longer, leaner, stronger muscles. You will also be delighted in the endless opportunities there are to use your breath and centered strength to reduce stress and improve focus in your daily life and the lives of others.

She quickly began a career in management at Trader Joe’s where she met her husband in 1997. After her first child was born in 2002 she left her career behind and began her life as a mom.Holly started her Yoga journey in 2004 when her hectic life as a mom compelled her to seek an outlet to help her relax physically and mentally, and soon felt the difference it made in her life. She quickly fell in love with Yoga and decided she wanted to share her passion, and start teaching. Receiving her YogaFit certification in 2010, she continues the pursuit of education to strengthen her teaching skills. Holly feels that Yoga has helped her to be more present for the people in her life and is grateful to be able to share the gift of Yoga with others: flexibility, strength, endurance, an open heart and a calm mind, and teaches us to live in harmony with ourselves.
